5. Your Typical Week (2 min)
After Orientation, consent, room prep, and Room Kit delivery, the LENA Grow program enters the next phase: the LENA Grow Sequence. After getting your Site and Room prepared, you will be ready to start your LENA Grow sequence!
Below is an overview of how a typical LENA week might look. Adjust the LENA week to fit your individual community schedule. Just remember — the days of the week can change, but keep the order the same!
Tuesday: LENA Day
Participating children wear LENA devices to capture their language environment.
Wednesday: Process LENA devices
Days between the LENA Day and coaching session focus on LENA device processing. Devices are connected to the LENA Hub. Audio is uploaded and processed into feedback reports.
We’ll talk more about device processing in depth during the How to Use LENA Technology course. For now, we just want to introduce you to the overall structure of a coaching week.
Thursday: Coaching session
Using strengths-based coaching strategies, guide teachers through their LENA Day experience. Use Room Report data and LENA Log responses to provide objective feedback and support.
