How Long Does Processing Take?

Details about timing to help you plan ahead.

You can expect to see your LENA reports the morning after devices are placed in a working, connected dock. This article lists the active and behind-the-scenes steps.

1. Data upload.

  • What: Dock uploads your data to LENA and erases devices.
  • How long: 5-20 minutes* per device, depending on internet speed.
  • How to know it is finished: Devices are all docked, and all say Ready.

2. Data analysis.noun_report_4393191

  • What: Automated analysis of the uploaded files, and transformation of the data into reports.
  • How long: Reports are typically available by the morning after all devices are placed in a working, connected dock. Individual child reports may become ready more quickly. All files for a group must finish analysis for its reports to be ready for use in coaching.
  • How to know it is finished: Data upload completed as described above, LENA Online displays the new LENA Day date, and the View Reports button does not display an alert for reports in progress or a problem with a recording.
